What is EL & Why Does it Matter, EL Myth Busting, & Building a Culturally Welcoming Classroom

This session equips educators with a foundational understanding of English Learner (EL) instruction, helps confront unconscious bias, dispels common myths about multilingual learners, and provides actionable strategies to build culturally responsive classrooms. Participants will reflect on their beliefs, reframe deficit thinking, and learn to elevate and celebrate the strengths multilingual learners bring.
