EWIMS Step 5, Assign and Provide Intervention
Self-paced
0.5 CEUs
Instructor: Allison Miller
Full course description
EWIMS Step 5, the EWIMS team assigns interventions and research-based strategies to students who are showing symptoms of risk. These decisions are grounded in the root causes identified in Step 4 and informed by both data and professional judgement.
Within EWIMS, indicators signal potential areas of risk, while decisions about supports and interventions are guided by previously identified root causes and implemented through integrated academic and behavior supports. Some interventions are packaged, evidence-based programs, while other supports may include research-based strategies implemented within existing instruction or campus systems.
Regardless of format, it is important that all interventions are evidence-based and aligned to student need.
