Full course description
This course is designed to engage a community of individuals who serve and support children ages birth through five, who want to share and learn more about challenging behaviors in early childhood. Dr. Kelli Odden will lead participants in exploring ways to address behaviors using a framework of evidence-based practices designed to promote healthy social and emotional development in infants, toddlers, and young children. These healthy social and emotional practices help young children develop skills to support them as they become citizens. Implementing these evidence-based practices prevents challenging behaviors and focuses on building adults’ skills to support children’s social and emotional health, helping to reduce inappropriate discipline practices, promoting family engagement, and using data to make decisions to support children’s development. All training courses are from 7:00-8:00 pm CST.
