Full program description
Welcome to the course series on using the North Dakota Native American Essential Understandings. The program is set up to engage with each NDNAEU by listening to elder interviews, reflecting on your personal new learnings and connections, and applying learnings to your classroom. You can read through the standards that comprise an NDNAEU, then move on to the Key Themes of each NDNAEU. The Key Themes are not exhaustive themes, but are foundational to addressing the NDNAEU. There are key reflection questions, or what is referred to as "Learn From" questions, that contain ideas to keep in mind as you watch the elder videos (usually 3) that are associated with that NDNAEU. Finally, for each NDNAEU, some journal reflection questions will help you tie together the presented ideas. Upon completion of all 3 parts, participants will receive 45 CEUs which qualifies for 3 College Level Cafeteria Credits through VCSU.
