Building Secure Attachments in Real-World Classrooms
Self-paced

Full course description
Welcome!
Teaching today is complex, and many classrooms include a wide range of needs that can be challenging to meet all at once. This course was created with that reality in mind.
Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach, this course focuses on building a strong foundation in attachment theory, child development, and behavior. You’ll spend time learning how to recognize attachment patterns, understand what drives student behavior, and make sense of the relational dynamics that show up in real classrooms—all through the lens of supporting secure attachments. Alongside this foundation, you’ll also be introduced to practical strategies that help you respond in ways that are consistent, supportive, and relationship-based.
This space is also one of validation. Teaching is demanding, and it’s easy to feel like you’re not doing enough. Here, you’ll gain clarity, insight, and tools that help you respond with more confidence and intention—without the expectation of perfection.
The goal is simple: to help you build a classroom that is both structured and supportive, where expectations are clear and relationships foster secure attachments that allow students to grow and thrive.
