Welcome!
This 15-hour asynchronous professional development course is designed for K-12 educators seeking to deepen their understanding of growth mindset theory and expand its application into instructional practice, equity, psychological safety, and collective teacher efficacy. Building on Carol Dweck’s foundational research and anchored in Mary C. Murphy’s Cultures of Growth, participants will examine how mindset impacts student achievement, teacher effectiveness, and staff and student wellbeing.
Participants will explore how to move beyond initial understanding of growth mindset by examining bias, expectations, team culture, feedback, perseverance, and habit formation. The course emphasizes practical implementation in classrooms and school teams to improve outcomes for diverse learners.
